The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Pick 'n' roll:

Saturday's best basketball bets

NBA

Chicago Bulls at New Orleans Hornets (+3, 181.5)

If you think this game can crack the over, then you must believe in several players miraculously recovering from injuries and finding their shooting stroke.

With nagging injuries to Hornets forward Emeka Okafor and guard Trevor Ariza, the two starters will likely miss yet another game with an injury or at best, play on a very limited basis. Combined, the team has seen the under hit in four of seven games without the duo this year.

“There are a couple of guys on our team that just have no idea what we’re doing and it’s costing us possessions,” Hornets coach Monty Williams said. “It puts our starting group and the guys that are playing hard and smart in a tough spot and I’m going to have to fix it. I’m going to have to sit some guys until they learn how to play the game the right way.”

Without Okafor and Ariza, the Hornets have been forced to give more minutes to Aaron Gray (3.7 ppg, 3.9 rpg), Aleksander Pavlovic (3.5 ppg, 1.4 apg) and Willie Green (7.5 ppg, 2.1 rpg). Yuck.

On the other side of the court, the Bulls have seen the under hit in two of the past three games as they continue to play solid defense. Chicago is second in the league in points allowed (92.3 ppg), second in opponents field goal percentage (42.7) and third in opponents 3-point percentage (32.9).

Syracuse Orange at Louisville Cardinals (-3, 137.5)

Louisville still isn’t health as forward Rakeem Buckles (broken finger) and center Gorgui Dieng (concussion) both practiced late this week but their status is still unknown for Saturday. Even worse, outside shooting big man Mike Marra has been battling a back injury and sat out of practice on Thursday.

That could be a crucial blow to a team still learning a brand new offense that the team was forced install in mid-season due to a slew of injuries. In the second half of a recent overtime loss to Notre Dame, the new attack stalled and forced the team into an uncomfortable position.

“We put it in a new offense, we've been working on it the last two weeks,” Louisville coach Rick Pitino said. “It's a pure motion offense. In the second half we broke it because it's a new offense and we went too much one-on-one. That was our demise, along with certain things defensively that we didn't do correctly.”

And now that new attack must try to crack the Syracuse 2-3 zone. Despite recent struggles offensively, the Orange are still playing solid on the defensive end. Over the past three games, teams have shot an average of just 42.3 percent from the floor as the team has forced at least 11 turnovers in each of those contests.

Saturday's best NHL bets

Chicago Blackhawks at Phoenix Coyotes (+101, 5.5)

No Ed Jovanovski? No problem for Phoenix. The Coyotes have done just fine without Jovo-Cop the past four games, posting a 3-1 record minus one of their top defenders. In those victories, the backline has even been the catalyst, giving up a mere two goals combined.

Goalie Ilya Bryzgalov also has been strong between the pipes, picking up all the victories during the team’s three-game winning streak as he has a 2.59 goals-against average and .917 save percentage this season. But the biggest difference in his play of late has been the play of his teammates in front of him.

"Bryzgalov has been solid and when he's had to make big saves, he has, but we've been more committed in front of him, playing stronger defense," Coyotes Head Coach Dave Tippett said.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Blackhawks are a bit of a mess. The team has lost two of its past three and four of its last six overall. Over those six games, the team has given up a staggering average of 3.3 goals per contest.

Chicago also is likely to be shorthanded for the game. Forward Marian Hossa (29 points) is battling the flu and could miss the game. At best, he will be less than 100 percent.

“If we are a playoff team we have to prove it,” Chicago defenseman Brian Campbell said. “Right now we’re obviously not a playoff team.”

Pick: Phoenix

Colorado Avalanche at Nashville Predators (-161, 5.5)

The Avalanche simply can’t score goals. The team is just 1-7 over its past 8 games and has notched a horrendous 14 goals over that span – with four coming in one game.

Colorado hopes the addition of dynamic veteran Peter Forsberg will help, but Foppa has been away from the rigors of the NHL for so long, it’s doubtful his weak ankles could survive the second game of back-to-backs after having a contest on Friday night.

In addition, defender Kyle Cumiskey will be sidelined with a concussion and versatile forward T.J. Galiardi will be out with a wrist injury.

"It's about guys stepping up," said Avalanche defender John-Michael Liles. "We have to work harder, plain and simple. We're not playing smart, consistent hockey the way we need to play right now."

On the other bench, Nashville has been slowly putting together some good outings and has won two of its past three games – both wins over Detroit by a combined score of 7-1. The Predators also got some depth this week when the team added Mike Fisher, who is expected to skate on the second line, second power play and top penalty killing unit.

“We were seeking a top-six forward and Mike Fisher was the player we set our sights on,” Nasvhille GM David Poile said. “He plays playoff-style hockey all season long. He plays on the power play, kills penalties, is strong on draws and can match up against any opposing line.”

Pick: Nashville

Bettor's best friend (BBF): Saturday's wagering tips

Line to keep an eye on

Colorado Avalanche at Nashville Predators (-161, 5.5) – The Avalanche will welcome back former superstar Peter Forsberg, who spent parts of 10 seasons with the franchise before injuries caused him to have a three-year NHL hiatus. Forsberg will more than likely look a little sluggish in his first game back, but Saturday’s tilt against Nashville will be a better marker of Forsberg’s current ability. If he plays at even a fraction of his earlier Avalanche days, his presence could drastically improve Colorado’s offense and their current position as underdogs at 148.

Who’s hot

NBA: The New Jersey Nets are 8-0 ATS in their last eight games against teams with a winning record.

NHL: The under is 7-0-1 in the Nashville Predators’ last eight games overall.

NCAAB: The under is 7-1 in the Pittsburgh Panthers’ last eight games against teams with a winning record.

NHL: Vancouver Canucks right wing Mikael Samuelsson has 12 points in his last seven games.

Who’s not

NBA: The Indiana Pacers are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games when it is the second of a back-to-back.

NHL: The Ottawa Senators are 0-6 in their last six road games.

NCAAB: The Kentucky Wildcats are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.

NBA: Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings is averaging 15.8 points per game this season, but has topped double-digits only three times in seven games since returning from injury, averaging just 8.3 points over that stretch.

Key stat

1,015 – The number of days since Peter Forsberg has played in an NHL game. Forsberg last played in an April 29 playoff game against the Detroit Red Wings before injuries caused him to have a three-year departure from the NHL. The former Hart Trophy winner has 885 points in 706 career games.

Injury that shouldn’t be overlooked

Dan Hamhuis – The Vancouver Canucks defenseman is out indefinitely with a concussion after taking a hit from Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf on Wednesday. Hamhuis was not Vancouver’s most dangerous blue-liner offensively, with just 18 points in 47 games, but he was a strong two-way defenseman, especially on the defensive end. Sami Salo was recalled to take Hamhuis’ place after recovering all season from an Achilles’ tendon injury and while he provides a boost offensively, his skating and defensive play could become a liability to the first-place Canucks.

Game of the day

Ohio State Buckeyes at Wisconsin Badgers (-1, 122.5)

Notable quotable

"He'll help us on the ice. He'll help us in the dressing room. We need to fight and there is no one more competitive in this game. Why else would he still be here trying? If he still wants it ... what's anyone else's excuse?" – Colorado Avalanche captain Adam Foote, on the potential effects of the return of former All-Star Peter Forsberg.

Tips and notes

-- Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf will not face any punishment for his hit on Vancouver Canucks defenseman Dan Hamhuis Wednesday. Getzlaf left his feet when hitting Hamhuis into the boards, putting the blue-liner out indefinitely with a concussion. It was Getzlaf’s first game back after missing six weeks with sinus cavity fractures and he looked like he didn’t miss a step with linemates Corey Perry and Bobby Ryan.

-- Newly-named Utah Jazz head coach Ty Corbin announced the team’s direction in the immediate future, following the sudden resignation of coach Jerry Sloan, who was in his 23rd season with the team. His plan? To maintain the status quo, get some “breathing room” and let things settle in the organization before making any drastic changes. “Right now the guys’ heads are spinning like mine is and we’ve got to get some stability through the game tonight and the next couple of games,” Corbin said. “Then maybe we can catch our breath a little bit.”

-- Atlanta Hawks forward Al Horford is expected to miss a third straight game Saturday against Charlotte. Horford has been sidelined by a bruised back that he said is not getting any better. He participated in non-contact drills during practice Friday, but is considered questionable at best. The two-time All-Star is averaging 16.2 points and 9.9 rebounds in 48 games.

Game of the day: Ohio State at Wisconsin

Ohio State Buckeyes at Wisconsin Badgers (-1, 122.5)

History lesson

The Buckeyes and Badgers have split four meetings over the last two seasons, with the home side prevailing in three of those and the other being decided on a neutral court in the Big Ten Tournament.

Ohio State owns a 3-1 ATS edge over that span and has cashed in three of its last four opportunities as an underdog in this series.

Each of the last seven matchups between these conference rivals has played under the closing total.

Toughest test?

Is this the spot where the Buckeyes finally get tripped up?

Most have this game circled as Ohio State’s biggest challenge of the season.

Of course, it’s not as if the Buckeyes haven’t been tested. They won 93-75 as 2.5-point underdogs at Florida in the middle of November and, just three weeks ago, outlasted the Illini on the road as 3.5-point favorites.

Last Sunday’s supposed showdown in Minnesota turned out to be a dud as Ohio State rolled to an easy 82-69 victory.

No place like home

Wisconsin remains perfect at home this season, turning away all 13 opponents they’ve faced. The Badgers have also fared well against the number, going 7-2 ATS in lined games at Kohl Center.

Remember, Wisconsin only lost one home game all of last season - that coming almost a year ago to the day against Illinois.

The numbers don’t lie; the Badgers have been simply dominant on their home floor.

Even a team as talented as Ohio State should be challenged by a defense that has held the opposition to just over 55 points per game on 39.7 percent shooting.

Wisconsin’s energy level at home has been sky-high, a big reason why it has outrebounded opponents by an average of eight boards per contest.

Charity case

If this game goes down to the wire, as most are expecting, free throw shooting could be the difference.

Wisconsin ranks as one of the best free throw shooting teams in the nation, connecting on just under 83 percent of its attempts. The Badgers have been even sharper lately, hitting 87.7 percent of their freebies over their last five games.

Ohio State shoots just 68.5 percent from the charity stripe, but that doesn’t tell the entire story. In the Buckeyes’ aforementioned win at Illinois three weeks ago, they made good on 24 of 27 (88.9 percent) free-throw attempts.

Key trends

- Ohio State is 9-3 ATS in its last 12 lined road contests and owns a stellar 17-8 ATS mark in its last 25 games against opposition that owns a winning percentage north of .600.

- Wisconsin is coming off an ATS loss against Iowa and that’s key as the Badgers are a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a pointspread defeat.

- It’s also worth noting that the under is a perfect 7-0 in the Badgers last seven games against a winning opponent.

Hockey Night In Canada: NHL betting preview

Ottawa Senators at Edmonton Oilers (-130, 5.5)

This is one of those rare HNIC games that makes you wonder if the NHL might consider the NFL’s theory on flex scheduling. One of the worst in the East travels to face one of the worst in the West.

Fisher Farewell

The Senators will be sellers as we near the trading deadline and they started early. Ottawa dealt Mike Fisher to Nashville Thursday so that, among other things, his wife, country music star Carrie Underwood, can continue her career in a city more suited to her genre. She lived there part-time anyhow. But now they can be one big, happy family in Tennessee.

Along the way, the Senators, who received two draft picks, lost a pretty good player. Fisher was tied for the team lead in goals (14). So, Ottawa journeys on in what’s become a lost season. But now that it’s clear players are fighting for their futures, perhaps they’ll show a little more jump.

Coaching change…sort of

Speaking of seasons to forget, Edmonton has lost five of six and 19 of 23. And while head coach Tom Renney’s job does not appear to be in jeopardy, he will not be with the team versus Ottawa.

Assistant Ralph Krueger coached Edmonton to a 4-1 loss versus Chicago Wednesday, and will lead them again against the Senators. Renney is tending to his father’s funeral.

Jumpin’ Jordan

As bad as the Oilers have been, you have to give credit to rookie Jordan Eberle, who is putting together a nice midseason run. He has five points in his last four games and has found the back of the net in the past two outings.

For someone who has played only 41 games on a poor team, his 28 points aren’t bad. And he’s only a minus-2 on a squad that has allowed 184 goals, the league's highest total through Thursday.

History

Not much to go on when you have teams from different conferences and fluctuating rosters. But Edmonton posted a 4-1 victory over Ottawa on Nov. 29. The Oilers were heavy underdogs (+181) and the game squeezed just under the 5.5 total. But Ottawa has been hitting overs lately. In fact, they've gone over in four straight and six of eight.

Calgary Flames at Vancouver Canucks (-193, 5.5)

A few weeks ago, this was a mismatch on paper. But a midwinter’s run has Calgary thinking playoffs, something that’s not easy when you live in the Western Conference.

New Year, new life

The Flames dropped a disheartening 6-0 decision to Minnesota on Jan. 19, which seems like a year ago. But they shook it off rather easily and have not looked back.

Entering Friday’s contest versus Anaheim, the Flames had at least one point in nine straight and responded from a 4-3 overtime HNIC loss to Los Angeles, with back-to-back wins over Chicago and Ottawa by a combined 8-3 count. If that’s not a team that wants in on the postseason, we don’t know what is.

Looking long term

Might the Canucks, comfortable as the No. 1 in the West, let their guard down a little? We’ll see. They have little to worry about day to day, and can clearly set their sights on a Stanley Cup run.

Bettors will see how little they like losing to an inferior team. Because Vancouver is coming off a surprising 4-3 loss to Anaheim Wednesday. The Ducks scored three goals in the first 24 minutes, forcing the Canucks into an unusual game of catch-up.

History

Despite the presence of Miikka Kiprusoff and Roberto Luongo in net, you have to think over in this series, at least this year. The teams have combined for 20 goals in three matchups and the Canucks have gone over the total in four straight overall. Vancouver has also won two of three in this rivalry.

EPL preview & picks: Power swinging in Manchester Derby

These days it may seem as though every Manchester derby is billed as the most important in years, but the significance of this iconic fixture to the big picture of the Premier League title race is certainly as great or greater than it’s ever been.

Sir Alex Ferguson now concedes that the team he once dismissed as “noisy neighbours” are genuine title contenders and their early meeting at Old Trafford Saturday dominates the EPL schedule this weekend.

Manchester United (-125) vs. Manchester City (+350)

With Rio Ferdinand set to miss out through injury, Manchester United’s talented but raw young centre-back Chris Smalling, will line up alongside Nemanja Vidic in the heart of United’s defence.

Without Ferdinand, United have looked shaky this season and, compounded by last week’s defeat to Wolves, United look susceptible at the back.

Carlos Tevez is fresh from hitting a hat trick against West Brom last weekend and, although City’s tendency under Roberto Mancini has been to park the bus in the big games, they have plenty of ammunition to exploit the gaps they will encounter at Old Trafford.

Of course, Nemanja Vidic’s kamikaze style of defending has marked him out as the best defender in the Premier League for at least the last season and United remain tough to break down.

But if Tevez can’t, Dzeko – City’s $43million substitute – can. Expect City to score.

The stakes in this one are huge and while November’s corresponding fixture (a dire 0-0 impasse at Eastlands) was a victory for nothing but pragmatism, the individual battles that will be renewed at Old Trafford remain mouth watering.

The best of these involves United’s vivacious but hot-headed right-back Rafael vs. City’s elegant forward David Silva. Although Silva can operate on either flank and will at times test Patrice Evra, much of Silva’s growing understanding with Carlos Tevez has been developed on the left flank and Rafael can be sure that a test awaits.

While a long and prosperous career lies ahead of Rafael, Silva’s nous may leave the young Brazilian feeling like an enraged bull unable to hit the flag. United can ill afford the red mist to descend on Rafael Saturday as it did during his spat with Tevez at Eastlands.

Short of being a liability, Rafael’s big-game temperament remains questionable (think red cards vs. Tottenham and Bayern Munich), so expect Silva to exploit this.

United very rarely fail to score at home (Rangers are the only side to have kept United at bay at Old Trafford this season) and will probably find the net at some point, so expect the resurgent Wayne Rooney (+120 to score) or Nani (+210) to find the net. Both have scored in the past two games after relatively barren spells.

But this could be the day the tide finally turns blue.

Pick: Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City (+1,400)

Fulham (+400) vs. Chelsea (-138)

While it may be difficult to get too excited about the rest of the menu when there is a main course of a Manchester derby, this West London derby between Fulham and Chelsea certainly serves as an appetizing desert.

With Fernando Torres and David Luiz now in tow, Chelsea will be out to prove that their January outlay of $114million wasn’t merely a rush of blood to Roman Abramovich’s head.

Branislav Ivanovic has been rewarded for his defensive solidity at Chelsea with a new five-year contract, but that won’t guarantee him a starting place against Fulham, with the classy Luiz eager to prove why his new employers paid Benfica almost $34million for his services. Not that he should have any problems, given his impressive cameo against Liverpool last week.

Luiz may have only found the net four times in 82 appearances for Benfica, but height renders him a threat at set-pieces and a goal on his first Blues start can be backed at +1,200.

While the loss to Liverpool will have hurt Carlo Ancelotti’s pride, a win at Fulham is fully expected. But the Chelsea boss has a juggling act in attack, with the tri-pronged forward line of Didier Drogba and Nicholas Anelka, alongside Torres, clearly not a long-term solution.

Fulham have not conceded a goal at home since December and are not to be taken lightly, despite their mediocre league position of 12th.

Danny Murphy will sit in a deep-lying midfield role and will come toe-to-toe with Frank Lampard in what will be the game’s key battle. If Fulham can contain Lampard, then the home side have a chance of pulling off a shock.

But Fulham’s Achilles’ heel has been their inability to score enough goals and, although Clint Dempsey has found the net in Bobby Zamora’s absence, Chelsea is a different prospect.

Andrew Johnson, though, is worth betting to score having rediscovered some of his old form in recent games and should be backed at +250.

Pick: Fulham 1-1 Chelsea (+550)

OffshoreInsiders Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a winner on the Pitt Panthers (+3) at Villanova.

Reasoning: Ashton Gibbs is out but I absolutely love what Jamie Dixon has done with this team and to get anything is enough for me in this spot. They were just able to win in a tough, tough place in Morgantown against a good West Virginia team and I can see them turning the trick once again here.

Villanova is a very good team that has an upside and the Wildcats should be ready to rumble after that unbelievable one point loss at the RAC the other night. If you somehow didn't see it, Jay Wright's squad blew a 10 point lead with a little over two minutes remaining against a bad Rutgers squad and at the end lost on a four point play with .8 seconds remaining. It was an absolutely gut wrenching defeat the likes of which don't happen all that often. I don't think though that 'Nova will just shrivel up after that loss and go in the tank as they are probably too good for that but they have had their share of recent struggles for sure and the Panthers are the superior team that just continues to chug along and win game after game. Villanova has been scuffling a little more than just that one game against the Scarlet Knights as evidenced by losing three of their past five games and four of seven. Could these kids be questioning themselves a little? Sure they can, there's no doubt about that.

19-5 is still 19-5 but things have not been all that hunky dory of late and even at home Villanova is going to have a lot of trouble today against an opponent that seems to stay in and grind out every single game. Dixon's squad is as mentally tough as they come and at 22-2 is no joke whatsoever. Even without Gibbs the Panthers are extremely potent led by Brad Wanamaker and Gary McGee among others and can and should win this game, period.

Top expert pick on this game: Pittsburgh from real Matt Rivers of OffshoreInsiders
